urban intervention
abrantes, portugal
Promoted by 180 Creative Camp, Urban Intervention 2015 was an open competition allowing individuals to design an installation dedicated to the city of Abrantes. The municipality of Abrantes was one which underwent a series of historical events involving the 1910 Revolution from the British. As the people of Portugal used Abrantes as a meeting point for the Revolution, it only made sense to create a new moment where its citizens can reconvene once again. The approach was to create a usable and transportable piece of architecture that can be used as furniture or leisure, deriving from the acts of Sitting, Playing and Laying.
